titleOfInvention Production of 1,1-difluoroethylene derivative and acyl fluoride derivative
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound by a safe and simple operation in high yield, industrially and advantageously, by reacting a catalytic amount of lead compound with a carbinol derivative by the use of specific metal in a polar solvent and reacting the obtained compound in an acidic solvent. n CONSTITUTION: A carbinol derivative shown by formula I (R is H, 1W20C alkyl, 3W16C alicyclic group, 3W16C alicyclic group containing at least one 1W20C side chain, 2W20C unsaturated hydrocarbon group, aryl or heterocyclic group) is reacted with a catalytic amount of a lead compound such as lead bromide in the polar solvent such as dimethylformamide in the presence of a foil metal such as Al, Fe, Ni, Sn, Co, Mg or a mixture thereof, having higher ionization tendency than lead to form a 1,1-difluoroethylene derivative shown by formula II, which is then reacted in acidic solvent such as sulfuric acid to give an acyl fluoride derivative shown by formula III. The compounds shown by formulas II and III are useful as a synthetic intermediate for drugs and agricultural chemicals. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
