titleOfInvention Antiviral agent
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an antiviral agent, containing a specific bis(benzamido) benzoic acid derivative as an active ingredient and particularly effective against pathogenic viruses of infectious diseases in respiratory organs. n CONSTITUTION: An antiviral agent containing 2,4-bis(2'-hydroxybenzamido)- benzoic acid expressed by the formula as an active ingredient. The above- mentioned compound has excellent effects, such as higher activity than that of amantadine and rivabirin which have attained the region of practical use in the present stage and is normally administered in a dose within the range of 10W2,000mg/day, preferably 100W1,000mg/day for an adult. The compound expressed by the formula is obtained by dripping a mixture of methyl 2,4- diaminobenzoate with triethylamine and THF into a solution prepared by dissolving 2-acetoxybenzoyl chloride in THF while stirring at 5W10°C for 0.5W1hr and then stirring the reaction mixture at room temperature for 2hr. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
