PURPOSE: To produce the titled compound, by reacting a ketone or aldehyde and halogen-containing organic compound in the presence of a lead compound, metal having a greater ionization tendency than that of lead and acid anhydride or acid halide in a polar solvent. n CONSTITUTION: A ketone or aldehyde expressed by formula I (R 1 and R 2 are H, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aralkyl, aryl or heterocyclic ring) is reacted with a compound expressed by formula II (m is 2 or 3; n is 1 or 2; m+n is 4; X and Y are halogen, Y is H, carboxyl, amide or cyano when m is 3) in the presence of a lead compound (e.g. lead bromide), a metal (e.g. Al) having a greater ionization tendency than that of lead and an acid anhydride (e.g. acetic anhydride) or acid halide in a polar solvent (e.g. dimethylformamide) to afford a compound expressed by formula III (e.g. a compound expressed by formula IV). The resultant compound is useful as an intermediate for medicines and agricultural chemicals. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio |
