titleOfInvention Carrier for solute separation
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a carrier applicable in a side pH range, by chemically bonding an organic silane compound having an epoxy group onto the surface of a porous inorganic particle and then, a polyvinyl alcohol thereto. CONSTITUTION:For example, a porous silica gel is added to a toluene solution containing gamma-glycidoxy propyl trimetoxysilane and made to react at 90 deg.C for 2hr being stirred up. The resulting reaction liquid is decanted and after being washed twice with toluene, the mixture is dried with a depression dryer by heating up to 35 deg.C. Then, the silane treated silica gel and 10-200,000mol. of polyvinyl alcohol are suspended in 1,4-dioxane, boron trifluoride etherate is added to the suspension under being stirred up to react at a normal temperature for 30hr. The reactant is filtered; after being washed twice with 1,4-dioxane and twice with a 60 deg.C distilled water, it is dried under a reduced pressure at 35 deg.C.
