titleOfInvention Image-recording ink
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the title ink having excellent storage stability and stability of image characteristics during continuous use, by mixing a liquid dispersing medium, a crosslkinked substance that retains the dispersing medium, and an electrolyte having buffer action. n CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. liquid dispersing medium having relatively low volatility (e.g., water) is mixed with 0.5W20pts.wt. crosslinked substance (e.g., guar gum) that retains the dispersing medium, 0.5W20pts.wt. electrolyte having buffer action (e.g., potassium hydrogen phthalate), and if required, 1W30pts.wt. coloring agent (e.g., carbon black) having a particle diameter of 0.1W100μm to form a solution or dispersion, thus giving a fluid image-recording ink which has a viscosity of 1.0×10 4 W2.0×10 6 cps (rotational viscometer, 3mmϕ SUS27 rotor, 0.3rpm, 25°C) and a non-tackiness of 0W1,000mg (defined as an increase in the weight of a 5cm×5cm aluminum foil when left on an ink for 1min in an atmosphere of 25°C and 60% RH), and can be tackified when energized. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
