abstract NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (R is formula IIWIV). n EXAMPLE: (11β,17-Dihydroxy-3,20-dioxo-1,4-pregnadien-21-yl) 1-(4-chlorobenzoyl)-5- methoxy-2-methylindole-3-acetate. n USE: An anti-inflammatory agent having powerful anti-inflammatory and diuretic action as well as low toxcity and useful for treating chronic rheumatic diseases, etc., accompanied by edema. n PREPARATION: For example, prednisolone expressed by formula V is reacted with an acid chloride expressed by the formula RCOC in equimolar amounts.
