titleOfInvention Production of information recording medium
abstract PURPOSE: To permit formation of a recording layer on a substrate by a coating method without dissolving the substrate by dissolving a dye into a solvent contg. a fluorine-substd. ester to prepare a coating liquid, then coating the coating liquid on the substrate and drying the coating, thereby forming the recording layer. n CONSTITUTION: The coating liquid is prepd. by dissolving the dye into the solvent contg. the fluorine-substd. ester and thereafter, the coating liquid is coated on the substrate and the coating is dried, by which the recording layer is formed. More specifically, the fluorine-substd. ester to be used as the solvent has high solubility with the dye such as cyanine dye and, therefore, the coating liquid for forming the recording layer can be easily prepd. Since this compd. is inert to the substrate consisting of a plastic material such as polycarbonate, the dissolution of the substrate in the coating stage does not arise. The information recording medium having high performance is thereby produced without generating the loss of grooves on the substrate surface and the degradation in the reflectivity of the recording layer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
