abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a cosmetic raising physiological activity of skin, by blending a cosmetic with calcined silica rock powder in an amorphous state radiating far infrared rays. CONSTITUTION:Calcined silica rock powder in an amorphous state is obtained by melting at 1,300-1,600 deg.C, followed by rapid quenching, and the powder is blended with a cosmetic. The powder blended has preferably 1-5mu average particle diameter, 30mu maximum particle diameter and 0.1mu minimum particle diameter. The powder cuts off a harmful range of sunlight from ultraviolet rays to near infrared rays, radiates for infrared rays and improves blood in the deep part of the skin.
