titleOfInvention | Novel halogen-containing epoxy compound and production thereof |
abstract | NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by formula I (X is Br or Cl; m is 2W5; p is 2W8; q is 5W6; p+q is 2.5W10; Ar is at least one kind of organic group consisting essentially of 2W10 naphthalene nucleus on the average and 1W8C hydrocarbon connecting these naphthalene nuclei). n USE: A compound which is used for epoxy resin, solid at normal temperature, soluble and meltable and provides a cured substance having improved flame retardance and heat resistance and low moisture useful for electronics such as matrix resin for printed board, electron element sealing agent for semiconductor, etc., especially requiring high flame retardance. n PREPARATION: At least one soluble and meltable naphthol type glycidyl ether polyepoxy compound shown by formula II is reacted with at least one halogenated phenol shown by formula III in a solvent substantially in a molar ratio of 1:q preferably in the presence of a catalytic amount of proton acceptor at 70W200°C to give a compound shown by formula I. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio |
