titleOfInvention Polyether-amide/polyalkylene oxide block copolymer
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the title copolymer excellent in anticoagulative property, heat resistance and mechanical properties and applicable to an anticoagulative material, comprising a polycondensate of a specified polyether-amide telomer with a specified polyalkylene oxide. n CONSTITUTION: The title copolymer comprising a condensation polymer of a polyether-amide telomer (A) having amino groups, carboxyl groups or reactive derivatives thereof on both ends and obtained by polycondensing an aromatic diamine (derivative) having at least two ether bonds in the molecule [e.g., 1,4-bis(4-aminophenoxy)benzene] with an organic dicarboxylic acid (derivative) with a polyalkylene oxide (B) (e.g., polyoxyethylene) having functional groups reactive with the functional groups in the structural unit A (provided that this functional group is other than the functional group in the structural unit A) on both ends. This copolymer is excellent in anticoagulative property (antithrombotic property), heat resistance and mechanical properties and applicable to a material for medical instruments used in a state in direct contact with the blood. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
