titleOfInvention Binder for paste solder
abstract PURPOSE: To prevent corrosion of solder powder and oxidation of base metals and to improve brazing workability by mixing respectively specific weight % of n-octane, ethyl cellulose, terpineol, etc., and org. gelling agent to form a titled binder. n CONSTITUTION: The binder for paste solder is obtd. by mixing 40W80%, by weight, 1 or ≥ 2 kinds among ethyl cellulose, terpineol, nitrocellulose, and acetobutyl cellulose with 20W60wt.% n-octane, and adding and mixing 0.25W3% org. gelling agent to and with the mixture, then agitating and heating the mixture. The corrosion of the solder is prevented by the gelation of the binder if the paste solder is prepd. by adequately mixing the solder powder with this binder. Since the viscosity adjustment of the binder is adequate, the oxidation of the base metals is prevented as well. Further, the splashing of the binder and the generation of residue during brazing are obviated and the workability is improved. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
