NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I [either one of X and Y represents O(C 2 H 4 O) n R (R represents alkyl; n is 1W3) and the other represents H; A represents Va, Cu, Ni or Co]. n EXAMPLE: A compound expressed by formula II. n USE: An infrared ray-absorbing agent for agricultural films, etc., and optical recording media such as an optical disc, which has absorbance in near infrared region of around 750W900nm and superior weather as well as heat resistance and is soluble in various organic solvents. n PREPARATION: For example, a naphthalene-2,3-dicarboxylic acid derivative expressed by formula III [example; 5-(((n-butoxy)ethoxy)ethoxy)ethoxy-2,3- naphthalenedicarboxylic anhydride, etc.] and a halide or oxide of vanadium, copper, nickel or cobalt are heated quinoline or chloronaphthalene as a solvent in the presence of urea at 200W250°C for 1W5hr. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio |
