abstract | NEW MATERIAL:The pyridazinone derivative of formula I (R 1 and R 3 are H or 1W5C alkyl; R 2 is H, 1W5C alkyl, 1W5C alkoxy or 1W5C alkylthio; R 4 , R 5 and R 6 are H, OH or 1W5C alkoxy; two of R 4 , R 5 and R 6 may together form -O-CH 2 -O- or -O-CH 2 -CH 2 -O-; m is 0W4; n is 1W4; dotted line shows that the bond between the 4- and 5-carbon atoms is single bond or double bond) or its salt. n USE: Useful as a cardiotonic agent. It can be administered orally or parenterally. It has long-acting effect. n PREPARATION: The compound of formula I can be produced according to the reaction formula, by the amide bond formation reaction of a carboxylic acid of formula II with an amine of formula III.
