PURPOSE: To obtain an anti-mycoplasmal agent useful not only as a drug, animal drug but also as an agent preventing mycoplasma contamination in cell culture and a removing agent, containing a pyridonecarboxylic acid or a salt thereof as an active ingredient. n CONSTITUTION: A pyridonecarboxylic acid shown by formula [R 1 is 1-piperazinyl or 1-pyrrolidinyl; R 2 is cyclopropyl or phenyl; A is N, C-H or C-Y (Y is halogen); X is H, amino or F] or a salt thereof is blended with a drug carrier and pharmaceutically manufactured by a conventional procedure to give the aimed substance. A dose is 10mgW3g, preferably 50W1,000mg/day and administered once W several times dividedly. The compound shown by the formula in the form of usually reagent is added to a medium before or during cultivation in such a way that the concentration is 0.1W10μg/ml, preferably 0.4W3μg/ml and used for preventing mycoplasma contamination or as a removing agent. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio |
