abstract | PURPOSE:To increase electric capacity and charge-discharge cycle life by using a positive electrode comprising a mixture of manganese dioxide and silver powder, a negative electrode of lithium alloy which absorbs and desorbs lithium by charge and discharge, and an organic electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of manganese dioxide and silver powder is used in a positive electrode 6 as active material, and a lithium alloy which absorbs and desorbs lithium by charge and discharge is used in a negative electrode 3. Propylene carbonate, gamma-butyrolactone, 1,2-dimethoxyethane, or these mixture is used as a solvent, and lithium perchlorate and/or lithium borofluoride are/is used as a solute, and an electrolyte is prepared by dissolving the solute in the solvent. Since manganese dioxide is used as positive active material and silver powder is used as conductor, the electric capacity is remarkably increased, and since lithium alloy is used in the negative electrode, steady charge-discharge performance can be obtained. |
