titleOfInvention | Detecting method for defect in airtightness |
abstract | PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for airtightness inspection and to accurately detect a defect in airtightness which progresses gradually by mounting a washer impregnated with specific chemicals nearby the sealing hole lid of an electronic component. CONSTITUTION:The washer 7 impregnated with chemicals 6 which react to a filler 4 is mounted at the border between the container main body 1 and sealing hole lid 2 of the electronic component 20 or nearby a lead 5 and the lid. For example, when an electrolytic capacitor is contained, a Nessler's reagent which reacts to ammonia is used as the chemicals 6. A defect in the airtightness of the electronic component 20 is detected from a color change and other abnormal phenomena occurring to the washer 7. Thus, the need for airtightness inspection in medium liquid in a mounting process which is carried out conventionally is eliminated to shorten the process, and the defect in airtightness which advances gradually is accurately detected. |
