abstract PURPOSE:A cariostatic agent having cariostatic action, especially immunologically activating action, containing D-phenylalanine, L-phenylalanine or DL-phenylalanine. CONSTITUTION:A cariostatic agent containing at least one selected from D- phenylalanine, L-phenylalanine and DL-phenylalanine. D-Phenylalanine shows cariostatic action and immunologically activating action through endorphin, L- and DL-phenylalanine have the same actions. Preferably the cariostatic agent is administered every other day or every third day and a dose is preferably 50-250mg/kg at a time.
