titleOfInvention | Cosmetic containing solution of peach leaf essence |
abstract | PURPOSE:A cosmetic usable for external use and for bathing, containing an essence solution having improved water solubility and high stability, obtained by boiling peach leaves in an aqueous solution of 1,3-butylene glycol, extracting the peach leaves and cooling the extracted solution. CONSTITUTION:Dried peach leaves (peach or such, Japanese apricot, Japanese plum, apricot, etc., of rosaceous plant) are boiled in 1-40% aqueous solution of 1,3-butylene glycol once or more times, extracted under heating, the prepared extracted solution is collected, then preserved for >=24hr at <=-20 deg.C and filtered to give a solution of peach leaf essence. A cosmetic containing the solution. The essence solution is stable at normal temperature for a long period, causes neither dregs nor precipitate and requires no addition of antiseptic and germicidal agent. It evolves no free hydrogen cyanide at all and is safe. |
