abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a rust preventive wax, having improved transparency and external appearance without impairing rust preventive property and film performance, by adding a specific small amount of a blue pigment to a wax component containing oxidized wax, petrolatum, etc. CONSTITUTION:A rust preventive wax obtained by adding (B) 0.003-0.02pt.wt. blue pigment consisting of preferably phthalocyanine based pigment and/or indanthrene based pigment to (A) 100pts.wt. solid of a wax containing oxidized wax, petrolatum, Sul-Fon-Ate(R) (calcium alkylbenenesulfonate) and lanolin. Preferred examples of the component (A) are blends prepared by blending 10-20 pts.wt. oxidized wax with 1-5pts.wt. petrolatum, 5-20pts.wt. sulfonate, 5-10pts. wt. lanolin and remainder an additive, in a trace amount using mineral spirit.
