abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound useful as an intermediate for synthesizing drugs inexpensively in high yield and in high quality, by reacting a readily obtainable 1-benzyl-4-piperidone with a piperidine and hydrogen in the presence of a compound catalyst. n CONSTITUTION: A piperidine shown by formula I (R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are H or lower alkyl) is reacted with 1-benzyl-4-piperidone and hydrogen by the use of a palladium catalyst as a catalyst preferably at 50W80°C under 10W70kg/cm 2 to give a compound shown by formula II. Piperidine, 2-methylpiperidine, etc., is used as the compound shown by formula I and the amount of the compound used is preferably 1W5mol based on 1mol 1-benzyl-4-piperidone as a raw material. A palladium catalyst supported on alumina, diatomaceous earth, etc., industrially sold on the market is used as the palladium catalyst and the amount of the catalyst used is preferably 0.1W20wt% based on the raw material. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio |
