titleOfInvention Production of precise filter membrane
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a precise filter membrane which is large in filtered flow rate and long in the service life for filtration by mixing fibrous fibril having 0.05W5μm average fiber diameter and organic fiber having 3W30μm average fiber diameter for screening and forming the sheet. n CONSTITUTION: Linear armoatic polyester is mixed with an organic compd. which is incompatible with this polyester and soluble in an alkaline soln. and thereafter the mixture is molded into hollow fiber. Metallic salt of organic sulfonic acid is preferable as this organic compd. Further the amount to be blended is regulated to 0.1W20pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. polyester. After cutting the obtained hollow fiber to 1W10mm, it is treated in an alkaline soln. and made to fibril at 0.05W5μm average fiber diameter by heating operation. 95W5wt% organic fiber having 3W30μm average filter diameter and 1W15mm fiber length is mixed with 5W95wt% fibrous fibril and the mixture is screened and formed to a sheet-shape. The surface temp. of a roll in a heat-treatment stage is regulated to 170W230°C. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
