abstract PURPOSE: To industrially and advantageously obtain the titled copolymer having excellent heat resistance, fluidity and colorability, by subjecting methacrylamide and a specific monomer, e.g. styrene, etc., in a specific proportion to precipitation polymerization in an organic solvent. n CONSTITUTION: (A) 5W50pts.wt. methacrylamide and (B) 95W50pts.wt. one or monomers selected from styrene, methyl methacrylate and acrylonitrile are subjected to precipitation polymerization in an organic solvent, preferably 5W8C saturated hydrocarbon, 3W7C primary W tertiary alcohol or 2W5C dialkyl ether to afford the aimed copolymer.
