titleOfInvention Manufacture of highly foamed insulated wire for concentric cable of small diameter
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain economically a highly formed insulated wire for a concentric cable of a small diameter and high foaming, by a method wherein a wet and highly foamed and insulated layer is coagulated and molded directly on a strand of a conductive material. n CONSTITUTION: A highly foamed insulated wire for a small-diameter concentric cable, where an insulated layer 2 is provided on an inner conductive material 1 on which an outer conductive layer is further provided, is manufactured. In this instance, a high-molecular polymer material solution 6 is sent into a solution pool of a mouth piece 5 for spinning having a circular orifice 4 and a conductive strand 1 is pulled out of the circular orifice 4 of the mouth piece 5 together with the high-molecular polymer material solution 6 at a time. The same is introduced into a coagulation bath 8 composed of a coagulation solution 7 which does not dissolve the high-molecular polymer material. The highly foamed insulated layer 2 is coagulated and formed directly on the conductive strand 1 by performing desolvation. In addition, a system in which water is used as a coagulating solution 7 is preferable to coagulate the polymer solution 6 obtained by dissolving aromatic polyamide resin or polyether sulfone into N-methyl-pyrrolidone. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
