abstract PURPOSE: To improve the accuracy of a relay mechanism with a simple structure by forming a sliding piece which is engaged with the slip ring of said relay mechanism of a steering wheel with a substrate on which a copper film is printed and a contact which is projected out of its end part. n CONSTITUTION: Lips 19 are integrally formed with a substrate 18 spirally projecting outward from the peripheral edge part of the hollow disk-shaped substrate 18. The substrate 18 is formed with an electrical insulating material of a glass fiber reinforced epoxy resin, etc. and copper films 21 are printed on its top and bottom faces as conductors and are protected by green masks 23. Contacts 20 which are engaged with a slip ring are provided on defined positions in the radial direction of the copper film 21. Thereby, as the structure of a sliding piece which is engaged with the slip ring of a steering wheel relay mechanism, the conventionally used leaf spring can be omitted, simplifying the structure while improving the accuracy of the installing part. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
