abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the titled composition, having excellent impact as well as solvent resistance and suitable for automotive parts, etc., by blending a polar thermoplastic resin having polar functional groups and polyphenylene ether with a specific modified resin capable of improving compatibility of both resins. n CONSTITUTION: A composition obtained by blending 100pts.wt. total of (A) 10W95wt% polar thermoplastic resin, e.g. polyamide, etc., having polar functional groups, e.g. amino groups, and (B) 90W5wt% polyphenylene ether, e.g. poly(2,6- dimethyl-1,4-phenylene) ether, etc., with (C) 5W50pts.wt., preferably 10W30pts.wt. modified block copolymer prepared by graft polymerizing a hydrogenated block copolymer, consisting of vinyl aromatic compound polymer blocks and conjugated diene compound polymer blocks and having 3,000W30cP viscosity of a solution in toluene in the presence of a monomer having epoxy group, e.g. glycidyl (meth)acrylate, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio |
