titleOfInvention | Resin composition |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a composition having excellent mechanical strength and external appearance, by blending a polyphenylene ether based resin with polyethylene terephthalate based resin and graft polymer, having compatibility with both resins and prepared by a macromonomer method. n CONSTITUTION: A composition obtained by blending 100pts.wt. total of (A) 10W90wt% polyphenylene ether based resin, preferably poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4- phenylene) ether and (B) 90W10wt% polyester consisting essentially of ethylene terephthalate repeating units with (C) 3W30pts.wt. graft polymer having a vinyl polymer segment, derived from macromonomer as a graft component and compatible with the component (A) and polyester segment compatible with the component (B) as a backbone component, e.g. obtained by synthesizing a polyester in the presence of a macromonomer having a styrene polymer as a skeleton and two carboxyl groups at one terminal, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio |
