| abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a feed for pisciculture having high quality, by mixing bean curd refuse with an aqueous solution containing water-soluble proteins, etc., extracted from fish, immersing the mixture in a hot oil in a cooker and subjecting to dehydration and deoiling treatment while reducing the pressure in two steps. n CONSTITUTION: An aqueous solution containing water-soluble proteins and hydrophilic fat, etc., such as broth extracted from a fish is mixed with bean curd refuse produced as a by-product of bean curd preparation process. The obtained mixture having nearly pasty property is thrown into a hot oil such as animal oil, vegetable oil, etc., in a cooker and the pressure in the cooker is reduced to a low vacuum at the initial stage and then to a high vacuum at the latter stage while stirring the content of the cooker. The water in the mixture is evaporated by this treatment to effect the dehydration of the mixture.
