abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a feed for pisciculture having high quality, by mixing bean curd refuse with an aqueous solution containing water-soluble proteins, etc., extracted from fish, immersing the mixture in a hot oil in a cooker and subjecting to dehydration and deoiling treatment while reducing the pressure in two steps. n CONSTITUTION: An aqueous solution containing water-soluble proteins and hydrophilic fat, etc., such as broth extracted from a fish is mixed with bean curd refuse produced as a by-product of bean curd preparation process. The obtained mixture having nearly pasty property is thrown into a hot oil such as animal oil, vegetable oil, etc., in a cooker and the pressure in the cooker is reduced to a low vacuum at the initial stage and then to a high vacuum at the latter stage while stirring the content of the cooker. The water in the mixture is evaporated by this treatment to effect the dehydration of the mixture. Subsequently, the hot oil is extracted from the cooker under highly reduced pressure and the mixture is deoiled e.g. by centrifugal separator to obtain the objective feed. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
