titleOfInvention Production of triethylenediamines
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a compound useful as a curing for polyurethane and epoxy resin economically advantageously, by reacting an amine compound by using a specific crystalline metallic silicate as a catalyst at constant pressure. n CONSTITUTION: An amine compound (e.g. ethanolamine) containing a group shown by the formula (R 1 WR 4 are H or 1W4C alkyl) in the molecule is reacted in the presence of a crystalline metallic silicate catalyst at ≥3kg/cm 2 , preferably 6W150kg/cm 2 absolute pressure at 200W550°C to give a triethylenediamine. The catalyst is a crystalline metallic silicate having ≥12, preferably 40W3,000 molar ratio of silica (SiO 2 ) and the metal oxide (M 2 O 3 ) of SiO 2 /M 2 O 3 and the amount of the catalyst used is 0.1W100wt% based on the amine compound. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
