NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I [R 1 is H, alkyl, alkylsulfonyl or acyl; R 2 is COR 3 , CH(OR 4 )R 5 , OR 6 , morpholino, etc.; R 3 is H, alkyl, acyloxylalkyl, phenyl, etc.; R 4 is H, acyl or trialkylsilyl; R 5 is H, alkyl, phenyl, acyloxy, etc.; R 6 is alkyl, except methyl, acylalkyl, benzoylalkyl, acyl, etc.] and salts thereof. n EXAMPLE: 1,4-Diacetoxy-6-(1-oxobutyl)naphthalene. n USE: A remedy for wounds and delayed allergic diseases. n PREPARATION: For example, an adduct of benzoquinone with butadiene is reacted with an acid halide in the presence of a Lewis acid to provide a compound expressed by formula II, (R 3-1 is alkyl or phenyl), which is then hydrolyzed in the presence of an acid as a catalyst and then acylated to afford the corresponding compound expressed by formula (R 1 is acyl). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio |
