abstract PURPOSE: To provide a hypolipemic agent containing a 7-fluoroprostacycline compound as an active component and exhibiting extremely strong effect to lower the level of lipid such as cholesterol, triglyceride, etc., in blood. n CONSTITUTION: The objective agent can be produced by mixing a 7- fluoroprostacycline compound of formula (R 1 is H, 1W10C alkyl or 1 equivalent of cation; R 2 is 1W10C alkyl or 3W8C cycloalkyl) with a carrier and forming the mixture to a drug by conventional method. It can be administered orally or parenterally e.g. by rectal infusion, subcutaneous injection, intramuscular injection, intravenous injection, transcutaneous application, etc., and preferably oral administration or intravenous injection. Dose of the active components is 1μgW100mg daily for adult in the case of using as a remedy for hepatopathy.
