abstract | PURPOSE: To improve the uniform smoothness on the surface of a magnetic layer and the adhesive power of a binder and magnetic powder by using a binder contg. a specific crosslinking agent. n CONSTITUTION: The magnetic layer contg. the ferromagnetic powder (e.g.: Co-γ- Fe 2 O 3 powder) and binder (e.g.: polyurethane) is formed on a nonmagnetic substrate. The crosslinking agent consisting of 20W80wt% bifunctional long chain isocyanate (e.g.: reaction product of long chain glycol and bifunctional isocyanate) and 80W20wt% at least trifunctional isocyanate (e.g.: addition product of trimethylol propane and tolylene diisocyanate) is compounded at 12W44wt% with the above-mentioned binder. Since both the uniform smoothness on the surface of the magnetic layer and the adhesive power of the binder and magnetic powder are thereby improved, the medium having the excellent electromagnetic conversion characteristic, soft error and durability is obtd. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio |
