titleOfInvention | Production of boron nitride |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the title high-purity boron nitride in high yield by heating the borate of a guanidine compd. in an inert gas or reducing gaseous atmosphere. n CONSTITUTION: The borate of a guanidine compd. is heated at ≥600°C in an inert gas or reducing gaseous atmosphere. The borate of the guanidine compd. is expressed by the general formula [(GuH) 2 O] x .[B 2 O 3 ] y .[H 2 O] z . In the formula, (x) and (y) are respectively 1W5 integer, (z) is 0W9 integer or half-integer, H is a hydrogen atom, B is a boron atom, O is an oxygen atom, and Gu stands for a guanidine compd. shown by the general formula R 1 R 2 N-C(=NH)-NR 3 R 4 (R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , and R 4 are hydrogen, the same or different alkyls, aryls, cycloalkyls, or hydroxyalkyls, and R 1 can also be an amino group). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio |
