titleOfInvention Method for foam-molding core material integral with skin material
abstract PURPOSE:To productively manufacture an integrally foam-molding with no quality defects such as sink mark, blister and the like by a method wherein a core material, which has a vent hole blocked by a stretched film, is employed so as to open the vent hole after the hardness of a foam reaches the predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:A core material 6, in the vent hole 7a of which a retainer 9 is being inserted, is mounted at the predetermined position of a top force. On the other hand, a skin material 5 is seated onto a bottom force 3. After the predetermined amount of urethane stock liquid is fed between the forces, the forces are closed. Thus, the stock liquid turns into a urethane foam while developing gas. The interior of the foam 13a is highly pressurized due to compressed gas accumulated therein. However, because of being backed up with the retainer 9, a film 4 does not explode. A vent hole 4a is formed in the film 4 by advancing a pin 14, which is incorporated in a cavity 15, in proper timing. The gas in the foam 13a flows out of the vent hole 4a, resulting in lowering the internal pressure of the foam. In this case, because the curing of the foam 13a is in the considerably advanced stage, neither flowing-out of the foam through the vent hole 7 occurs nor sink mark develops.
