abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a polyolefin (co)polymer excellent in stereoregularity and particle properties in an excellent polymerization activity, by (co)polymerizing an olefin in the presence of a catalyst comprising a specified Ti-containing solid catalyst component and an organometallic compound of a Group IWIII metal of the periodic table. n CONSTITUTION: A Ti-containing solid catalyst component (B) is obtained by contacting 1mol of an Mg compound (a) of formula I (wherein R 1W2 are each alkyl, aryl or aralkyl, and 2≥n≥0) with a mixture formula by mixing 0.01W10mol of an electron-donating compound (b) (e.g., ethyl benzoate) with 0.01W10mol of an Si compound (c) of formula II (wherein R 3 is R 1 ) (e.g., tetraphenoxysilane) and 0.1W100mol of a Ti compound (e.g., TiCl 4 ) so that the Ti content of the mixture may be 0.1W10wt% at room temperature to 200°C for 0.5W4hr in the presence (absence) of an inert hydrocarbon.
