titleOfInvention Candida boidinii pc-31 strain
abstract PURPOSE:To produce NAD at a low cost, by culturing a novel microbial strain belonging to Candida genus, resistant to picolic acid and having high NAD content. CONSTITUTION:A novel strain Candida boidinii PC-31 (FERM P-8975) belonging to Candida genus, resistant to picolic acid and having high NAD content is inoculated in a medium containing methanol as a carbon source and added with quinolinic acid. The strain is cultured at 4-7pH and about 25-33 deg.C under aeration and agitation and the objective NAD is separated from the cultured cells.
