NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (R1 is 8-20C long-chain alkyl, resin acid side chain, etc,; R2 is side chain of constituent amino acid of casein-derived polypeptide; n is an integer of 3-20; M is H, onium of alkali metal, etc.) or salt thereof USE:An additive for hairdressing cosmetics, e.g. shampoo, rise, etc., principal ingredient in cosmetics, e.g. lotion, etc., having excellent surface-active action and mild action as well as protecting action on the skin or hair, regenerating action on damaged hair, etc., with hardly any irritation to the skin and mucosae. PREPARATION:For example, cow's mild casein is dissolved in an aqueous solution in a high concentration, e.g. urea, etc., and hydrolyzed with a proteolytic enzyme, e.g. pepsine, etc., at 30-45 deg.C for 3-24hr. An acid chloride derivative of a higher fatty acid expressed by formula III is added to an aqueous solution of the resultant casein-deived polypeptide expressed by formula II which stirring at pH 8-10 to acylate the compound expressed by formula II. |
