PURPOSE:To control triboelectrification quantity by treating a true spherical polymethylsilsesquioxane powder with a specified surface treating agent. CONSTITUTION:Each particle of the polymethylsilsesquioxane powder is independent of each other and has an almost true spherical form, and in the particle diameter distribution, >=80% of the total particles are in the + or -30% of the average particle diameter. The surface of each particle is treated with the surface treating agent of a compound, such as H2N(CH2)2NH(CH2)3Si(OCH3)3, prepared by combining >=2 hydrocarbon groups each substituted by a hydroxyl group, a hydrolyzable group, and/or a monovalent polar group with a transition metal atom, such as Ti, a metal atom except the transition metals, such as Al or Sn, or Si, thus permitting the treated particles to be more triboelectrified in the positive direction or positively than the untreated particles, and controlled more properly in the triboelectrification quantity. |
