titleOfInvention Extraction of amino acid from compost
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain amino acids utilizable for foods, cosmetics, etc., at a low cost, by fermenting a hydrated raw material of compost produced by mixing animal dung, rice straw, sawdust, etc., and hydrolyzing the fermentation product with hydrochloric acid under heating. n CONSTITUTION: A compost raw material having a water-content of 65% is produced by mixing (A) 80% dung of an animal such as cattle, pig, chicken, etc., available as a stock-raising waste and (B) 20% agricultural waste such as rice straw, sawdust, etc. The raw material is fermented for 10W15 days under aerobic condition, subjected to the secondary fermentation for 20W30 days and fermented for about 6 months under occasional turning and stirring to obtain a completely fermented compost. The compost is hydrolyzed with hydrochloric acid under heating and the product is filtered to obtain liquid or powdery amino acid. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
