titleOfInvention | Magenta coloring matter for thermal sublimation transfer recording |
abstract | PURPOSE:To provide the titled coloring matter having favorable light resistance and sublimation transferability, by using a specified anthraquinone compound. CONSTITUTION:A compound of general formula (1), wherein R is an alkylene, cycloalkyl or alkoxyalkyl, can be obtained by bringing quinizarin into reaction with iodine, bromine or chlorine in an organic solvent such as 0-dichlorobenzene and nitrobenzene to synthesize 2-halo-quinizarin and then bringing 2-halo- quinizarin into reaction with an amine of the formula H2NR in an aprotic polar solvent such as N,N-dimethylformamide, dimethyl sulfoxide and sulfolane in the presence of a deoxidizing agent such as potassium carbonate and sodium carbonate. To produce an ink for thermal transfer recording by using this coloring matter, the coloring matter may be mixed with an appropriate resin, a solvent, water or the like. |
