abstract PURPOSE:To improve the stability of an emulsified composition of oil-in-water type, by compounding specific polyoxyalkylene modified organopolysiloxane, water-soluble polyhydric alcohol having not less than 2 hydroxyl groups within a moledule, and oil. CONSTITUTION:Modified organopolysiloxane represented by the formula I, II, and III (R represents a methyl group, a phenyl group R' represents an alkyl group having 1-12 hydrogen, carbon atoms, P is 1-5, q is 2-3, x, m, n represent the mean number, at which polyoxyalkylene modified organopolysiloxane contains 2-90% by weight of a polyoxyalkylene group in a molecule and the viscosity of siloxane becomes 5-3,000 centistokes at 25 deg.C) i dissolved in a water-soluble polyhydric alcohol having not less than 2 hydroxyl groups within a molecule; then oil is added thereto to produce an emulsified composition, while the solution is stirred with a homo-mixer, etc.
