titleOfInvention Heat-resisting hose
abstract PURPOSE: To provide a heat-resisting hose which displays excellent heat-resisting properties by wetting the surface of the hose at the time of water supply, by impregnating and/or applying the hose made of a synthetic fiber with a composite composed of a water-swelling polymer and binding resin. n CONSTITUTION: A heat-resisting hose is obtained by impregnating and/or applying a hose base composed of a synthetic fiber with a composite composed of a water-swelling polymer and integrity resin. The desirable water-swelling polymer is a block copolymer having a joint style of a hydroplhilic polymer segment-hydrophobic polymer segment-hydrophilic polymer segment. AS the binding resin, synthetic resin or natural resin having sufficient water resistance can be used. The surface of the hose is in a hydrous state always and damage or destruction of the hose can be prevented satisfactorily even if the hose is used in a high-temperature atmosphere like fire extinction time as moisture in the hose is exuded to the surface of the hose gradually through the contained water-swelling polymer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
