abstract | PURPOSE:A phyparia detector that contains 2,6-dichloroindophenol as a pigment for staining rhyparia, thus being capable of staining rhyparia with bright color and being readily decolorized in oral mucosa which have been undesirably stained with a reductive decoloring agent. CONSTITUTION:A phyparia detector that contains a compound of formula I (X is H, alkali metal, ammonium, monotriethanolamine) or is composed of the first agent for staining rhyparia, which contains the compound of formula I and of the second agent of a reductive decolorizing agent, preferably ascorbic or erysorbic acid or their water-soluble salt, preferably a compound of formula II and its salt. Since the detector can clearly stain rhyparia, the distribution can be readily seen and it can be easily removed by brushing. Further, the stains which cannot be removed by brushing, such as stained mucosa, are readily removed with the second agent. |
