abstract PURPOSE:An automatic speed variator oil composition having improved durability of shift speed reduction, shift feeling properties and improved slip preventing properties after clutch engagement, obtained by blending a base oil consisting of a mineral oil and a synthetic oil with a specific amount of magnesium sulfonate. CONSTITUTION:The aimed automatic speed variator oil composition obtained by blending (A) a base oil consisting of a mineral oil and /or a synthetic oil with (B) 0.1-5wt% magnesium sulfonate (preferably ultrabasic magnesium sulfonate having >=300 base value) as essential components. EFFECT:Having low change of a coefficient of friction with lapse of time in use.
