titleOfInvention | Polymerization of ethylene |
abstract | PURPOSE: To produce polyethylene of improved quality, by (co)polymerizing ethylene in the presence of a catalyst consisting of a specific solid composition, organoaluminum compound and a compound having B-O-C bond at a high temperature under a high pressure. n CONSTITUTION: Ethylene is polymerized or copolymerized with one or more α-olefins in the presence of a catalyst consisting of (A) a solid composition obtained by mixing and pulverizing (i) a megnesium halide with (ii) TiCl 3 , (iii) an electron donor, e.g. ethyl acetate or methyl methacrylate, and (iv) a halide of an element of Groups IIIWV of the Periodic Table, e.g. SiCl 4 or diethoxydichlorosilane, and (B) an organoaluminum compound, e.g. trimethylaluminum or diethylaluminum ethoxide, and (C) a compound having B-O-C bond, e.g. boric acid triester, at ≥125°C temperature under ≥200kg/cm 2 pressure. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
