titleOfInvention Silver halide color photographic sensitive material
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide photosensitive material having improved sharpness and granular characteristic by specifying the silver density of green sensitive layers constituted of 1 or >=2 layers at >=5.0X10<-1>g/cm<3> and the total of the dry film thickness of the green sensitive layers at <=4.5mum. CONSTITUTION:The green density of the green sensitive layers constituted of 1 or >=2 layers is >=5.0X10<-1>g/cm<3> and the total of the dry film thickness of the green sensitive layers is <=4.5mum. The green density provides the tendency to the deterioration of the granular characteristic and an increase of fogging if said density is made excessively high; therefore, the more preferable range is >=7.0X10<-1>g/cm<3> and <=2.0g/cm<3>. The deteriorated coatability, pressure characteristic and stability of emulsified matter and the generation of a side effect such as a decrease of the coloring density are resulted if the dry film thickness of the entire green sensitive layer is made excessively small; therefore, the more preferable range of the dry film thickness is >=1.0mum and <=4.0mum. The green sensitive layers preferably contain the magenta dye image forming coupler expressed by the formula in at least one layer of the green sensitive layers and more preferably contain the coupler in all of the green sensitive layers.
