abstract PURPOSE: To provide the titled electron trapping agent which can trap effectively electrons in high-molecular materials, by using an acid ester compd. having a 1-halo-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidyl group as an active ingredient. n CONSTITUTION: A compd. of formula I (wherein X is =CH-, a group of formula II; Y is halogen; Z is an acyl group derived from a mono- to hexabasic aliph. or arom. carboxylic acid; n is 1W6; R is a lower alkyl) is used as an active ingredient to obtain the desired electron trapping agent for high-molecular materials. The compd. of formula I can be easily prepd. by any conventional method for the production of halogenated amines. Examples of the compd. are 1-chloro-2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidyl acetate and bis(1-chloro-2,2,6,6- tetramethyl-4-piperidyl) sebacate. 0.001W5pts.wt. compd. of formula I is blended with 100pts.wt. high-molecular material. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
