titleOfInvention Floc monitor apparatus
abstract PURPOSE:To stably obtain floc image information under a uniform light condition even if light reflection is in any state, by monitoring a sedimentation state using a floodlight projector and a TV camera when the sedimentation state of suspended particles in raw water is monitored in the floc forming basin of a water purifying plant. CONSTITUTION:A paddle 2C for stirring floc, a camera box 12 having a floodlight projector 7 and a TV camera 4 mounted therein, a back screen 13 and a light guide 10 are sunk in a floc forming basin 100C. Further, a TV controller 5, an image recognition apparatus 9, a drive circuit 8, a control calculator 15, a luminous intensity set value memory 17, a luminous intensity characteristic storing memory 14 and TV 6 etc. are provided outside the floc forming basin 100C. By this method, a monitor apparatus is constituted and flock image information is acquired by the TV camera 4 to calcualte the concn. frequency distribution of image information and luminous intensity is calculated using the concn. frequency distribution vs. luminous intensity table stored in the memory 14. Thereafter, image processing operation is performed by the apparatus 9 and the operation value is compared with the luminous intensity set value stored in the memory 17 and the projecting light quantity is controlled by a controller 8.
