titleOfInvention Phosphoric ester compound
abstract NEW MATERIAL:A phosphoric ester compound having 1W2 polyester chains, represented by the formula (wherein R 1 is a polyester formed by the self- condensation of a hydroxycarboxylic acid and is terminated with a carboxyl group or its ester group with an alcohol, R 2 is H or a cation and R 3 is R 1 , R 2 or a hydrocarbon group). n EXAMPLE: A phosphoric diester of a methyl ester of a polyester formed by the self-condensation of 12-hydroxystearic acid. n USE: A dispersing aid or a lashing aid in the preparation of paints, printing inks and colorants such as those for synthetic resins. n PREPARATION: 1mol of a phosphating agent (e.g., phosphorus oxychloride) is reacted with 1W2mol of a polyester alcohol compound of a MW of from that of a dimer to 10,000 (e.g., a polyester formed by the self-condensation of a hydroxycarboxylic acid containing a 4W30C hydrocarbon chain) in the presence of, optionally, a basic catalyst (e.g., triethylamine). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
