titleOfInvention Hemostatic and wound-protecting agent
abstract PURPOSE: To provide the titled agent exhibiting excellent hemostatic and wound- protecting activities and containing sodium polyacrylate powder having a specific average particle diameter. n CONSTITUTION: The objective hemostatic and wound-protecting agent can be produced by mixing (A) powder of sodium polyacrylate having an average particle diameter of ≤140μm, preferably 30W3μm (PANA which may be partially crosslinked. The average molecular weight of the polymer is ≥500,000, preferably ≥1,500,000 and a substitution degree of sodium is 20W100%, preferably 40W100%) and (B) a medicine useful for hemostasis and the remedy of wound (e.g. an antibacterial agent such as tetracycline, an anti-inflammatory agent such as sulpyrine, local anesthetic such as lidocaine hydrochloride) to (C) a substrate for external use. The amount of the component B is 0.01W6% for antibacterial agent, 1W40% for anti-inflammatory agent and 0.01W4% for local anesthetic based on the whole drug preparation. The agent may be added further with a water-soluble natural polymer such as collagen, gelatin, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
