titleOfInvention Novel tetrapyrrole compound
abstract NEW MATERIAL:To fluorescent mono-, di- or polyamide of an aminomonocarboxylic acid and a tetrapyrrole containing ≥3 carboxyl groups and represented by the formula (Z is aminomonocarboxylic acid residue free from amino group; X is tetrapyrrole residue free from carboxyl group; n is integer of 1W4). n EXAMPLE: Di-L-serinylrhodine g7. n USE: Agent for photodiagnosis and phototherapy of tumor and cancer tissue. Since the compound is easily secreted from the host, the photosensitization of the host can be decreased. n PREPARATION: An amino acid and a tetrapyrrole containing ≥3 carboxyl groups (e.g. chlorin e6) are used as starting raw materials. The materials are made to contact with each other in a solvent such as DMF preferably in the presence of a carbodiimide such as N/N'dicyclohexylcarbodiimide, etc., to effect the condensation of the starting compounds. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
